A pattern published in (Yarn Forward February Issue 9) for Madison Scarf which I’ve had for some time and was handy as a ‘stash buster’. I have the usual knitters infliction of an expanding yarn stash and need to find ways to keep it under control. I also have the tendency to knit in one colour most of the time. Getting better at multi-colour knitting would certainly help to use up the odd balls of yarn, and of course, I’m on a never ending quest to get better at all knitting techniques. So, with a little practise at intarsia, and hey presto: lovely soft scarf.
There were still some of those colours left, so a pair of gloves went down nicely too. Recently I’ve finished a little blue top – Loretta from Rowan Knitting and Crochet Magazine 50, knitted in Rowan Cashsoft DK Blue Jacket (photo of the whole top to be added soon).
