We see a lot of angst in the media about the negative effect of food and agriculture on the planet. You may have very strong feelings about this, or just feel plain confused. But, what if we could change all this by understanding better where food comes from? Reconnect with food and landscape and you’ll feel differently, in a way that is fascinating – not a chore!
We live in a world of locally distinctive food cultures that have developed over hundreds, and even thousands of years, shaped by the landscape in which people have lived. We may think some of these ways of eating are unsustainable and shouldn’t continue. But they have developed for a reason. What if we could harness the best of that knowledge and culture for the future?
Dive in deep with me and think holistically about food. Come on a journey. Recognise how people have always fed themselves from the ground beneath their feet. There has never has been one single way of eating wherever you live. Find out how you can follow a #PlaceBasedDiet for the future.
